*Remix 'EP'*
Fiction
Las Vegas
Tuesday
I made three new song mixes since completing the album. First up is Fiction, where I felt I really dropped the ball before. The mix on the record totally sucked. Now the drums sound better, the parts are more clear; it's just a better use of the song's potential.
Next is Las Vegas. When I was making the record I felt like everything had to be faithful, so I didn't go for any of the 'fun' ideas I had. This mix makes for a more pumped version of the song; it just seems less repetitive and formulaic.
Last one is Tuesday. I had a weird idea: I wondered what it would sound like if I cut out all the 'filler' I'd recorded and left only a jazz trio. The result is pretty interesting.

**Update - August 21, 2006 - Album artwork is done. Download cover (front & back) and
CD label or e-mail tFIGHTsookSPAMram at gmail dot com for a physical copy. CDs are handmade by me and mailed with loving care in little bubble wrap envelopes.**
Mixing is done.
There are some rough edges here and there, so technically it's not 'mastered.' I may go back and run through everything and smooth it all out.
Lofi is 128 kbps, about 42.7MB total, regular is 192 kbps and 64MB total. Total running time: 46:32.
Also here is another way to listen, using flash player(link opens new window - but this one won't)
If you want a physical copy, e-mail me via the contact page or at tsoIHATEokrSPAMam at gmail dot com.
I conceived this and started doing scratch tracks in March, and I've been working on it pretty much non-stop since the end of April. I had no idea how much work was involved in the actual production of an album, professional or amateur, and I could write pages (and I might in the coming days) on how much adversity I faced just getting this thing done. I hope you like it.
-Tim
PS If anyone wants to help make CD art, send me an e-mail, because I am crap at that.
PPS Did I mention this was done entirely in my apartment (and the drums at steve's)?

geez it's been awhile. The bad news is we don't practice or play shows anymore, and probably won't ever again. The good news is I've finished recording our 12 song album.
I've been at it strong for a couple months now, (and here and there before that) trying to get everything right. I had hoped it'd be done by the end of June, but with school and everything, and looking at where I am, I don't think I'll meet that commitment, especially since mixing is pretty damn hard. Little things are more time consuming that I'd thought, but it'll be done someday soon, hopefully a couple weeks from now.
In the meantime here are a few early mixes (mind the rough edges):

Wahey there! We'll be playing in the Battle of the Bands this Friday at 8 in the Texas Union Showroom (the little eatery area next to Wendy's). Don't confuse this with the previous Battle of the Bands (which we did not win) this is UT's Student Events Center's event and it'll be us versus 4 bands, with the grand prize of $400 dollars, free hairdos from Milos's, and a spot in Forty Acres Fest.
Yahoo
PS There's also some super secret things going on in the mumbleworld, stay tuned.
PPS Check out the new photos page, band page, and the brand new fancy discussion board.

Some exciting Mumblenews coming at you folks!
.... Heeeeeeeeere it comes!
We are currently working on recording two new demo tracks for you folks, and hopefully we'll be releasing all of what we have on a five-track EP coming up sometime in the next couple weeks. Also, we'll be supporting our friends from Impact, a ticket running for student government at UT this year, so hopefully you can help us support them this COMING monday night, February 27th, at 10pm in front of the tower. There'll be a little mumblebee, a little impact. More details on that later. Click here for a map.
One more thing, we're working on some new songs for you folks, plus... other stuff. Oh, and we were on the Ben Carter Show on campus TV friday night, but no one really got any warning about that. Maybe they'll ask us back on.
Keep on looking up, folks!

Just a reminder about the show tomorrow!
It's free to get in, but it would be helpful to the folks running it if you could bring an item listed on their website
or buy a raffle ticket for $8. We'll be on at 3pm and the Pajamas will be on at noon (along with Manager's Choice and HATH).
- January 1st, 2006
Happy New Year! We hope you've had a good rest, as have we. We've a show coming up in a few weeks as a part of the Adopt-a-Bowl Art Fundraiser. You can read about it here. Directions to the Boulding Creek Coffeehouse can be acquired here.
The event starts at 11am, but we go on at 3pm. Hope to see you there!

Hey we're Battling some Bands in the Battle of the Bands this Monday just like in Cheech and Chong's movie Up in Smoke. Come see us and get a free merch item of your choice - CD, 1" button or sticker*. Richard and Steve will be giving out free hugs to voters and Ryan will glare at you as if you broke his heart - no charge. There is no applause-o-meter so your vote will actually count! Redrum is at 401 Sabine St.** (MAP) slightly outside the heart of downtown. Cover is $5 for All Ages (minors welcome) and we go on at 9pm so you will still be able to get home in time for bedtime.
*subject to availability (kind of). If I run out of stuff please leave me your address and I will mail it to you. I promise not to stalk you or send you a Cosmo subscription or w/e.
**Redrum is in a stand-alone building on the Northeast corner of Sabine and East 4th Street, just South of Gas Pipe on East 5th Street, just east of the city's new parking garage/cooling plant, and about one block west of IH-35. Sabine is the very first right from 35, and Redrum is right there on the right.
- October 25th, 2005
We're playing for the CAAI again on Election day, so come see us if you missed it last time!
Also if you didn't miss us last time, come anyway because we have more songs and you were probably not paying attention. Also, on the links page there's a thinger where you can put in your e-mail and it'll send you an e-mail and if you click on something in that e-mail YOU GET ON OUR MAILING LIST. SUCCESS.
PS I goofed - it's on Tuesday at Gregory Gym Plaza, at the intersection of 21st and Speedway.
- October 22nd, 2005
We're playing tomorrow (Sunday) at a Campus Alliance Against Inequality event on the UT Campus. Specifically it will be on the West Mall (home to the Union and FAC, immediately southwest of the big ol' tower). It will begin at 7pm and is FREE. Come on out, we'd love to see you.
- October 5th, 2005
I just wanted to say a quick thanks to the people who came out to our last few shows. Onstage, I was forgetting which shows were for fun and which were for a good cause. A big thanks goes out to the people of Liberty Hill for putting together such a big event for charity and for giving us such a warm reception. We were also glad to help out at the benefit at Nasty's, even though Ryan almost died. I really like Redrum's new digs... and the lack of stairs.
love,
tim
P.S. A lot of folks were asking for swag and I was short-handed - sorry, I have to make the CDs, and I'm pretty lazy. If you'd like one, send an e-mail on the contact page or feel free to post a request on our BBS. They cost whatever you want to pay - $1, $3, $5, $100, but keep in mind I have to buy materials and mail them.
- September 27th, 2005
Quick note... we'll be playing at Redrum Tuesday, which is at a new location on 4th and Sabine, so you might want to be careful for that. We'll also be playing at a Battle of the Bands there, which we need all of you to come out for, cuz that'll help (it's in November, you got time). And I'm watching Sesame Street in Spanish, so I better go.
- September 22nd, 2005

Oh hey. We're playing at Nasty's on 606 Maiden Ln (off Guadalupe between 35th and 37th) this Thursday to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina. If you hate hurricanes, you should come. You dont LOVE hurricanes, DO YOU?
p.s.
*No cover, to get in people need to bring a donation, either cash (for the red cross) or supplies (for the Austin Food Bank). There will be drink specials and free pizza and coupons for amys ice cream.
- September 15th, 2005
There was some kind of fiasco at the Latitude 30 that I still don't completely understand, so we didn't play there last night. We're playing at a party tomorrow night at the New Guild Co-op (510 W. 23rd St.) in West Campus at 11pm, and you should probably come.
- August 27th, 2005
- Hey folks! Just wanted to keep you up to date with some Mumblenews coming up this new school year. The crew is working very very hard to get some new STUFF out to you guys, the fans. Stuff like, collectable stickers, mp3s, clones of Tim, that sort of stuff, and we have some shows coming up. One is next Friday at the clubhouse at The Ballpark, an apartment complex managed by a bunch of incompetent children! It's a free show for all ages, and I know at least two people that want to bring a keg! Exclamation! There's another show on September the 11th, but I can't remember where it is... Look for it!
That's all for now folks. Remember, keep on rockin'. Oh, and visit the dentist once every six months to retain a healthy smile.
-Ryan
P.S. The place is off East Riverside. From I-35, go about 5 lights down, past the HEB, and turn left on Wickersham Lane. It dead ends at the apartments, and the clubhouse is right up front. There's free parking in the street, and the actual show is in the clubhouse, right up front, next to the pool.

HI!
Come see us tomorrow night at Buffalo Billiards at 10pm. Apparently the whole affair is going to be filmed if you dig that brand of cheeseburger.

I found these awesome jokes online at Noah's Favorite Animal Jokes and I thought I'd share them.
What do you call a bee that hums very quietly? A mumblebee. * * * Why do bees hum? Because they can't remember the words.
Awesome!

- July 5th, 2005
We'll be playing at Buffalo Billiards (map) downtown again. We've been practicing some new tunes to spice up the show a bit. The place is HUGE and very nice so we really need you to come out.
In other news, check out our standalone mp3 player (requires flash, opens new window). Listen to all the songs from our demo at your leisure.
- June 23rd, 2005
Hi! We'll be playing at Buffalo Billiards at 6th and Brazos (click here for map) starting at 9 pm this Wednesday so come on down. They said cover would be four or five dollars, so bring five to be safe. Stay after to hear Ouiji and Shawn Fussell.

In case you haven't noticed, this here interweb site has been steadily updated from a blank template to a luscious lover oozing with content. The music, band, photos, and extras pages are now quite ready for you to click on and enjoy them. Have at it!
- May 25, 2005
Our new demo is up on the music page. It was made by the wonderful people at Canary Productions, including the fabulous Chris Cogswell. Also, there's a gig coming up at Redrum (see above for details).
- April 25, 2005
I swear to God, once homework is discontinued, I'm gonna not do anything! For those of you who don't know what that means, you could probably ask me personally, since you got this link off my AIM profile. Also, take notice that we have two gigs set up.
- March 30, 2005
We have ANOTHER gig on April 6th (next wednesday) at 11:30 p.m. at Redrum on Sixth Street. It's the same place as last time, except this time we're HEADLINING, baby! Also, come check out Hurts to Purr, Pretty Pretty, and Something Called Nothing. It's the same price thing as last time. Mention this website to Ryan and get $3 off! Also, if your name is Jennifer Taylor, Maggie O'Connor, Claire McCarthy, or Tiffany Shropshire, you get a full refund.
- March 11, 2005
We have a gig on March 21st (the Monday after Spring Break ends) at 8:00 p.m. at Redrum on Sixth Street. It's all ages, but it looks as if you have to pay $6 if you're under 21 and $3 if you are able to buy liquor. I'll try to refund as many people that come as possible. We're actually the first of four bands, so if you like Quartershakle, Johnathan Wynn, or Bellaire, you should definitely check out this show. Oh yeah, we play at 8, so if you come late, no refund.
- March 2, 2005
- I've put some songs on the site, although there's not a page for it yet. They're not the best recordings but whattayagonnado.

We are playing a show, next Friday, February 4th at the clubhouse of the
Crossing Place apartment complex, off Riverside to Crossing Place Drive. We will be playing a plethora of new songs, never before heard by non-members of the band, and people that aren't fans of Collective Soul. It's also our first show of 2005, and our first show with Richard Geffen on bass. Be there.
