The Birth of Loncrees
There was a land, long ago, and it was called Creedos. This land was populated in harmony by two races, the mystical Creedons, and the men, called Londers. The Creedons were peaceful Sprites, having pointed ears and born with the potential to be great magic casters. They built temples to nature gods and prayed to them. The Londers, whose power lied in physical strength, watched in wonder as the Creedon performed great feats with their power. While the Creedon were divided by their natural boundaries, the Londers built kingdoms and fought each other for power and control of the land, the land they had renamed Loncrees, to show their co-ownership of the land. Staying in character, the Creedon gladly accepted the change and continued to live peacefully. Over the years, six kingdoms built themselves up and managed to hold their ground. These countries were Lucra, Serka, Dekdar, Monta, Nebarra, and Rodan. After it was decided that their boundaries were set, the kingdoms decided to end the fighting.

The Pact of Loncrees

Six delegates, each from six different countries met under the kind invitation of the Grand Bishop Tachton of the Creedon in his mighty city of Creedos. The leaders of all six nations were there: Chancellor Baldwin Lexadon of Lucra, Maximillian Fent of Dekdar, Taunti Rimton of Nebarra, Jasten Hidin of Serka, Coren Mills of Monta, and Rodan Gridon II of Rodan. There, the six divided the land between them, under the guide of the Bishop, who had won the agreement to allow the peaceful Creedon to dwell where they resided, and they marked the temples on the map. Once completed, the Charter of Loncrees was placed on display in the center palace of Creedos, so any kingdom could come and prove their boundaries. This began the Jhisan Merci, or Time of Peace.

The Pact is Broken

Over the years, with the expansion of settlements and the rise of industry, boundary disputes would arise and delegates would flock to the Charter to prove their side. Nothing was out of hand until the day the Charter was stolen.

It created an uproar. Every kingdom blamed every other. Skirmishes were fought and no victors were ever claimed. The turmoil was settled in only one country, Lucra. A military coup had overthrown the Chancellor, and now the throne was held by the dictator, Templeton Sachin Donvyle, and his army, strong zealot paladins who called themselves the Faction of Blessed Souls, for it was this elite few who were blessed with the divine gifts.
Donvyle called for an end to the Civil War. He made claims that the Creedon were responsible for the theft of the charter, in order to cause the kingdoms to destroy themselves. He said the Creedon wanted to rid Loncrees of men. They would stop them first.

By combining the Lucra military with his Faction soldiers, Donvyle attacked Creedos, slaughtered the Sprites who dwelled within, and executed the High Priest in the center of the city. Donvyle changed the name of the land to Lonsachin, and this angered the other countries. They broke their temporary pact with Lucra and each other and they returned to their civil war.

The Wipeout

After defeating Creedos, Donvyle moved the capital from Lexadon to Creedos, which he renamed after his daughter Lucretia, and appointed a governor from his army. Donvyle then proceeded to build his army to become the largest in the land and started to wipe out the military forces of the other five countries, who were no match for the supreme tactical genius of Donvyle. He proclaimed the Faction as the supreme military rule of all of Lonsachin. Kingdoms could only use personal armies for policing their own citizens. All citizens had to house Faction soldiers who requested board and pay taxes to the Faction, who would in return offer protection from any danger that citizens found. Donvyle called this his Supreme Protection Act.

After establishing himself as the supreme military dictator of Lonsachin, Donvyle decided that he wanted to rule theocratically as well. He decided that everyone should have to follow his god, called Esta, meaning “the Blesser,” and he had temples built along with the garrisons he put up. Soon, nearly every major city had both of Donvyle’s structures on their skyline. Donvyle then renamed his hometown of Halla to Esta and had a massive cathedral built there. Of course, everyone was forced to worship this god, and denounce all others. This caused the most problems with the Creedon. By their beliefs, Nature is the mother of all, and no other deities stand above her. Donvyle would never let this stand. Having mercenaries find the Grand Bishop of the Creedon, Donvyle gave an ultimatum to renounce Nature and take Esta as their god, or he would execute the Bishop and have his head paraded around the countryside. The Bishop refused and soon his skull became the symbol that every Creedon temple would see before being annihilated.
